I never expected I’d be one of those people who had a midlife crisis. Sure, I’m over forty and married, but my kids are grown and moved out. Life is steady, if predictably boring.
That all changes when my husband asks for a divorce and my whole world crashes. Everything I thought I knew, everything I am, gone in an instant.
But I am not about to give up. After all, at my age, technically, I’m only halfway there.
I am ready to tackle my do-over; my chance to become the me I’ve always dreamed of. Starting with moving into my late grandma’s cottage and adopting a new kitten.
However, my new life is a little odder than expected. Old books suddenly appearing in my house. Neighbors going missing. A supposed lake monster, and a strange man who likes to skulk around with an ax.
I’m going to need to lean on my friends, new and old, to help me navigate my midlife crisis. Together maybe we will find a way to beat the family curse ruining my second chance at life.
Series – Midlife Mulligan = #1 Halfway There – #2 On My Way – #3 Don’t Stop Believing –
I’m the worst. Seriously. Ask anyone and they’ll tell you, “Sylvie Orion is the world’s worst witch.” But being a supernatural bounty hunter requires more smarts than magic. So put that on your wand and suck it, beyotches.
When my latest client—a kleptomaniac werewolf—disappears, I’m on the hunt to drag him to justice. It should be a simple track ‘em and cuff ‘em operation, something I’ve done a hundred times before.
Instead, I somehow acquire an unwanted vampire sidekick, wake up in a ditch, and piss off half of shifter nation. It’s not fun, but it’s all survivable right up until I’m accused of being in cahoots with my skip trace to steal witchdom’s most wanted magical relic.
Everyone thinks I have it. And the bad guys are on me like a bad cameltoe hex. If they get this relic? Hell will look like paradise.
Forget the werewolf, I’ve got to find that relic and clear my name, or die trying.
Series – Bad Magic Bounty Hunter = #1 Motherducking Magic – #2 Motherducking Witches –
Welcome to Hedgewitch Cove, Louisiana, where there’s no such thing as normal.
Cat-shifter Curt Warrick doesn’t want to take a road trip with five other guys but when his best friend leaves him no choice, he finds himself in a van, stuffed full of men, headed to Louisiana. It should come as no surprise when everything that could go wrong on the trip does. That’s okay though, Curt is used to the weird and wacky, after all, he was born and raised in a town that is the epitome of it all. There is a bright side. The trip will give him a chance to expand his enterprise.
There is nothing Missi (Mississippi) Peugeot hates more than rich men who think they can throw money around to get what they want. Okay, that’s a lie. She hates change. That’s why she’s happy to stay in her tiny hometown of Hedgewitch Cove, Louisiana. Protected by magic, the town has kept its quaint, cozy feel—that is until a flashy, yet fetching stranger shows up in a van that screams “flower power,” announcing he’s looking to buy property, and begin developing the town. Missi’s grandmother always warned her that her words had consequences. When she speaks out of anger, the magic in her rises to the challenge, putting a curse on Curt. Not that the man needed any help in the cursed department, seeing as how he already has a spell of chaos cast over him. By who, they don’t know.
Now Missi just has to keep Mr. Flashy alive long enough to get him back up north where he belongs before her words come back to haunt him. There is only one slight hiccup with her plan: every second she tries to keep mishap from befalling Curt leaves her one step closer to wanting him to stay.
Series – Bewitchingly Ever After = #1 Don’t Stop Bewitching – #2 Everybody Wants to Rune the World – #3 Do You Really Want to Haunt Me? –
Bewitchingly Ever After is a spin-off in the Happily Everlasting world. If possible, I would strongly suggest reading that series first in order to understand the background for some events or the characters that don’t directly appear in this story.
