Scrapbooking the Supernatural by Keira Blackwood

Scrapbooking is magic, and so am I. Or at least I would be if I could take a freaking nap already.

What kind of dream witch can’t even make herself fall asleep? A tired witch. A middle-aged, raising-her-teenage-son-alone witch.

I’m supposed to keep the magic world a secret. I’m supposed to dream about the future. But supposed to’s are for suckers. At forty-one, I’m done with doubt. And I’m not about to let anyone else tell me what I can or can’t do.

My life is a scrapbook, a collection of adventures, each one leading to the next until every page is full. I’m learning, adapting, growing. Armed with my sleepy sloth tea and my golden spork, and with my coven by my side, I’ll take on every challenge that comes my way.

Nightmares better watch their backs, because I’ll be sporking them.

Title:  Scrapbooking the Supernatural
Series:  Midlife Magic in Marshmallow #2
Author:  Keira Blackwood
Genre:  Paranormal Women’s Fiction
Publication Date:  March 22, 2021
My Rating:  4.5 stars

The Midlife Magic in Marshmallow series continues with Scrapbooking the Supernatural.  And get ready for some adventure and definitely some snort-giggling as Jen tries to get a handle on her dream witchery with not the greatest luck… so far.  That’s about to change when one evil “kitty” shows up and goes after her son, Evan.  Never go after someone’s kid, that is guaranteed to bring out the angry Mamma Bear in everyone – especially a witch.

I had such fun with Jen’s story.  Her idea of what a dream witch was supposed to do might have been just a tad bit off, but she’s learning, adjusting, and when the time comes she’ll have everything she needs to protect not only her son but herself as well.

Frankly, I don’t want to say a lot about the plot because I really believe that if I say too much then you’re not going to get the shock value or the fun of unraveling threads for yourself.  I can say that I had an absolute blast back in this world with bits of danger, friendships, a mother/son relationship to envy, and more than a little magic sparking about.  Oh… and Baku.  If only I could find my own Baku — you’ll see and understand perfectly.

I am loving the different voices who are lending their talents to the relatively new sub-genre of Paranormal Women’s Fiction.  And I cannot wait for the next visit to this world, it’s sure to involve some ruffled feathers!

I read this title through my Kindle Unlimited subscription.
