Title:  Moonlight and Mischief
Series:  Mysteries of Moonlight Manor #1
Author:  Molly Fitz & Trixie Silvertale
Genre:  Paranormal Cozy Mystery
Released:  September 20, 2022
My Rating:  4.5 stars

I love the adventure of starting a new series and this is one that I’ll definitely be following.  Moonlight and Mischief is funny, and charming, with a touch of snark, lots of chuckles, and a mystery to be solved.  Oh, and one old haunted home that is ruled over by Sir Bogart the resident ghost cat with so much to say for himself.

Sydney thought she was at the top of her world with a job she loved, and a wealthy, powerful man about to pop the question, or so she thought until that world came crashing down around her with one conversation.  Now Sydney is heading out of New York City to a small town in Maine where she’s about to have her life even further turned around when she buys a mansion at an unbelievable price.  The mansion comes by its reputation of being a spooky spot quite naturally with the three ghosts living within.  Sydney’s bed and breakfast idea might have just died a quick death with no hope of recovery unless she can solve a murder that took place here years ago.

The writing is smooth, the plot intriguing, and the characters just leap off of the pages.  I loved the secondary characters and how they fit into Sydney’s new life and I’m sure we’ll get to know them better as the series continues.  Moonlight and Mischief is one of those tales that you’ll quickly get wrapped up in and that you’ll want to continue beyond the final page.  I had fun here and want to know what happens to everyone next in Moonlight and Magic.  If you love a good, solid Paranormal Cozy Mystery then you’ll want to get started on this series soon.
