Working for the Wishing Moon Bay police department is nothing if not interesting. Especially when your mom is dating the chief of police. Or was… But that’s another story.
When Luna is sent to investigate an assault and robbery, she’s surprised to find the chief suspect is a dragon shifter.
She’s even more surprised when the dragon shifter she tackles to the ground says he’s not the criminal she’s looking for. But he is her mate.
Two dragon shifters in one day? Can she trust Egan when he says he isn’t responsible for the crime but he’s willing to help her solve it?
Egan flies to Wishing Moon Bay to clear his head. After a couple of weeks involved in council meetings, he knows politics is not for him. But when he meets his mate, he soon realizes walking away is not going to be easy.
But maybe there’s a new role for him. One where he can help his people and be with his mate.

Title: The Dragon Defender’s Destiny
Series: Dragon Protectors of Wishing Moon Bay #1
Author: Harmony Raines
Genre: Paranormal Romance, Shifter Romance
Released: September 9, 2021
My Rating: 4.5 stars
The Dragon Defender’s Destiny is the first story in the Dragon Protectors of Wishing Moon Bay and is also a spin-off of The Bond of Brothers (Wishing Moon Bay Shifters) series. In many ways, Luna’s and Egan’s story is a continuation of what happened immediately after The Dragon Shifter’s Desire (which concluded the first series in this set). After the chaos and the victory on Dragon Isle life is quite different for those who live in that hidden society. Politically it is indeed chaos and since he’s trying to not be pulled into the political debates (or positions), Egan goes for a flight, a chance to spread his dragon’s wings and head to Wishing Moon Bay to get his head on straight or perhaps just to get a break for a bit. The last thing he expected was to be tackled by a police officer who mistook him for a criminal or to discover that this beautiful police officer was his mate. Egan’s complex life just got a bit more complicated.
There’s a lot going on in The Dragon Defender’s Destiny so much in fact that to say too much would head into spoiler territory, and you really should discover those twists on your own. I enjoyed Luna and Egan, their story is filled with laughter, danger, steaminess, and the complication of two people’s lives when attempting to meld them together. I loved the side stories and chuckled quite a bit at the antics of two other people who are perfect together… if they’d just get over themselves and commit. If you love getting lost in a world that answers the questions of “what happened next”, then you’ll want to get started on the Dragon Protectors of Wishing Moon Bay… and find out for yourself. I had a blast and I’m betting you will, too.
