Crossroads Burning by Layla Nash

Sass Luckett is cursed. Not because her truck keeps breaking down, her bank account’s on life support, and she’s constantly dodging packs of dire wolves looking for a witch-sized snack.

No, Sass’s family is literally cursed: they must stay and guard their small town of Rattler’s Run from the Crossroads, the Bermuda Triangle of the prairie. If Sass and her sisters flee, the uncontrolled magic will wipe the town straight off the map—and the world will be overrun by the unnatural critters that emerge from the cataclysm.

Not to mention that there are a couple of generations of Luckett ghosts hanging around the attic, just itching to point out how she’s failing.

Sass dreams of a completely different, completely normal life far away from Rattler’s Run. But that would require money and magic she just doesn’t have.

And then some fast-talking, big city researchers offer her a fat paycheck to play tour guide on the Crossroads. When all hell breaks loose—literally—Sass realizes they’re not tracking normal wolves at all. The strangers are actually government agents investigating the magical shenanigans in and around Rattler’s Run, and somehow they think Sass is the key to restoring balance in the Crossroads.

There’s only so much cursing a witch can take, and Sass is running out of friends and patience. It’s just a matter of time until she’s sh*t-outta-Luckett.

Once Bitten by Trina M. Lee

I’m a werewolf with rare power and an attraction to darkness.

Part of an organization dedicated to protecting the existence of supernatural beings, I hunt the rogues that threaten to expose us all. Not gonna lie. I love what I do. But when my ex and pack Alpha is accused of murder, it gets a lot trickier. If he’s guilty, I’ll have to be the one to take him out.

That means keeping my head in the game and not allowing sinfully alluring incubus vampire Arys to distract me. If Arys is anything, it’s darkness, and I can’t deny the power that draws us together. Falling into bed with him feels like a good idea at the time until it ends with an explosion of power and a soul-deep bond neither of us anticipated. But it comes at a price.

Now I’m craving blood and shying away from sunlight. And I don’t know how the hell to explain it to Shaz, the packmate who’s always been more than a friend. As the body count rises long-buried secrets are revealed. Secrets that prove not everyone is who I think they are.

Not even me.

This is an adult 18+ story that contains language, possible violence, and sexual situations geared to an adult audience.

Reaper vs. Ripper by Stacey Rourke

History knows me by many names. Nyx, the Goddess of Night. Lilith, the Lady of Darkness. Selaphiel, the fifth angel of God. But the course of my life has been determined by my greatest mistake. I opened the gate and allowed Lucifer to fall. Booted from Heaven for my sin, I serve my penance as a reaper. By collecting history’s most twisted souls, I work to one day earn my ticket home.

Case #663

The heinous crimes of Jack the Ripper are known throughout the ages, yet his true identity remains shrouded in mystery. Scythe in hand, it falls to me to claim his soul. Who he is, I don’t care. What made him this way makes no difference. My lone goal is to ensure that he faces the final judgment.

Ring the bell and alert the Bobbies. It’s reaper versus Ripper in a battle for the title of the true harbinger of death.
