I had such fun with Sleigh Spells which begins the Winter Witches of Holiday Haven multi-author series.  Aurora (if she allows you to call her Rory then you’ve broken through to the friend zone – which is rare) is serving her probation in the small town of Holiday Haven near the North Pole.  She’s not a bad person just one who was used for her talents and has to now pay that price.  She’s taken a shorter sentence by going to this Winter Wonderland full of Christmas cheer… now can she survive the constant happiness of this place and keep her head down and out of trouble.  Hmmm.  Probably not, with delightful results.

I love a good Cozy Mystery, especially one with Paranormal elements and as a bonus – Christmas!  I don’t try to figure out who, I’m more about enjoying the journey of discovering the why of it all.  And there was a lot of both in Sleigh Spells.

Rory isn’t having the best of luck in finding that perfect job so when she’s sent to the local bakery she isn’t very hopeful.  Her new boss, Wren, is odious and mean so Rory wasn’t wrong about her new job but she does make a new friend – which is quite the accomplishment for her since she believes everyone looks down upon her for her past.

Soon though the unthinkable happens – Santa’s Sleigh (and all the magic it contains) has been stolen and the looks and the accusations fall directly on Rory.  She along with friends and a possible romantic interest have to find the Sleigh fast before Christmas is ruined.

Sleigh Spells is a quirky, completely enjoyable, fun, Christmas Paranormal Cozy Mystery – I had a blast here and I’m definitely looking forward to the other stories in this series.
