Paranormal Security and Intelligence Operative, and Shadow Agent Gram Campbell is not having a great year.

So far this alpha-male wolf-shifter has had his heart and his body broken.

Is he beyond repair, or will his destined mate bring much-needed healing to the man and the wolf within?

This is an adult 18+ story that contains language, possible violence, and sexual situations geared to an adult audience.

Titles in the Shadow Agents series include – Wolf’s Surrender – The Dragon Shifter’s Duty – Healing the Wolf – Out of the Dark –

This series is part of an entire world that consists of several relating series.  There is a suggested reading list (by the author) on our Reading Order & Cross-Over Series page.  I’d highly recommend reading them in that order, if possible because they all do blend together – a lot.

Series that connect: Immortal Ops — PSI Ops (Paranormal Security & Intelligence) — Crimson Ops — Shadow Agents — Immortal Outcasts

Title:  Healing the Wolf
Series:  Shadow Agents #3 (Immortal Ops World)

Genre:  Paranormal Romantic Suspense

My Rating:  4.5 stars

Healing the Wolf is the third title in the Shadow Agents series, which is part of the Immortal Ops Universe of connected series.  We first met Gram in Malik’s “Tutt” and Brooke’s story in Act of Passion which is part of the PSI Ops connecting series. He is an honorable man and a wounded man both emotionally and physically right now.  He had loved Brooke and her adorable daughter, Bethany… but he wasn’t her true fated mate.  When Malik was reunited with Brooke and the daughter he never knew about it was in the middle of great danger to everyone involved.  Gram was physically injured, burned while saving Bethany’s life.  And being the honorable man he is, stepped aside when Brooke’s mate and love re-entered their lives…with promises of retribution and a threat of keeping a close eye on Malik to ensure the ladies he loved were happy and loved.  So, to say that Gram has had a bad year is quite an understatement… and it’s about to get even more interesting.

I love the characters of this combined world and the ways that they “help” each other, especially when times are rough.  When Striker, his twin cousins, along with Bill and Gus stage an intervention of sorts (with all the hilarity that only that bunch of guys can provide) and book Gram into a recovery spa vacation, well, let’s just say Gram isn’t the happiest of campers and he is about to find the mate he was convinced he’d never meet.

The spa where Gram will be reluctantly recovering isn’t at all what it appears on the surface.  Run by a sadistic, insane cult leader, this place is a hotbed of danger, sadistic actions on the parts of the leader, and his unique crew of cruel enforcers who do harm wherever possible while waiting for the “Bringer” to appear in their midst.  To the world at large, and especially to their father and his “Flock”, Amelia and her younger sister Andie appear quite human.  The fact that Amelia is far from human but has a combination of paranormal abilities is something she’s kept deeply hidden.  She and Andie were just about to escape this place when Gram arrives and the knowledge of fated mates becomes very clear to them both.

Sometimes a villain will just make my skin crawl.  Yeah, this sadistic cult leader gave me that feeling from his first appearance in Healing the Wolf, and it just got stronger the deeper into the book I got.  The things that this vile man demanded of his family, his followers, the innocents brought into this “Flock” are beyond evil.  Equally vile are his enforcers, and I was never happier when any of them got taken down hard by Gram.  I loved Amelia, she’s strong while leary of those around her, her trust is hard to win but once she gives it she is unshakeable, and her love, protection of Andie is love in its truest form.  She is equal to Gram in all ways, and together they are a formidable team.

Healing the Wolf is full of action, danger, laughter, sexy moments, tensions that are off the chart at times.  Gram and Amelia’s story is one of my favorites from this combined set of series.  If you love a good Paranormal Romantic Suspense with characters who will keep you reading to find out what happens next, then you’ll want to step into this world.

I own a Kindle edition of this title.
